What to Expect
When we first get in touch I will send you a questionnaire based on the type of session you request. This will give me an opportunity to see if I have availability and to see if we are a good fit.
After you fill out the questionnaire we will finalized the date, and schedule a stylization consultation. During this time I will send you a contract. Your session fee payment is due at booking and will hold your date. The session fee is non-refundable.
During your Stylization Consultation we will discuss color schemes, poses and backdrops, or the session location. You will also have access to a wide assortment of outfits in my client closet and props to enhance your gallery and give it the aesthetic you are wanting to achieve.
This consultation is very important to me because this is your investment, this is your story and I want to be your storyteller, I want to document every detail that is important to you. At the consultation you will also be able to make a partial payment or full payment for your session.

Your session day
Prior to your session, I get in touch with you to remind you of your session and make any last minute decisions.
On the day of your session, I want you to feel relaxed. Whether you have booked a Family, Maternity or Newborn Session, rest assured that I have already put several hours into this day. I have scouted locations, pre-arranged setups, and poured hours into my work flow to ensure flawless transitions to help you feel comfortable.
During a family or maternity session I will give you cues and direction to guarantee the most flattering lighting and pose. I typically pose, and then give a candid action to complete or encourage interaction between family members. The main goal of my session is for you to relax and enjoy each other, take a mini vacation from life, go on an adventure and let me capture your family.
Newborn Session are conducted a little differently. I go at the pace of you and your baby. I understand the first few weeks after the arrival of your little one can be rough, maybe you are hesitant to book before your baby is born. I understand the unknown of how mobile or active you could be in those first days and weeks after birth. That is why I strive to make this session as relaxing as possible and the flexibility of an in-home studio is perfect for it. You are welcome to dim the lights nap on the couch. Enjoy the calm, I take care of everything, all you need to do is bring milk and your baby.
Once you arrive and get settled in, I will provide you with a private area to nurse or bottle feed your little one. Our goal is to have a very sleepy and happy little one. I will start with the family portion of your session, it only takes around 15 to 20 minutes, and again you will not be doing poses that would cause any stress to your post baby body. We go at your pace. Please don’t feel stressed if your little one is not cooperating. Typically after the family portion of the session they are fast asleep and if not I have a variety of techniques to help your little one go to sleep.
Post Session
After your session I will send you a few sneak peeks as I know you will be eager to see your images. I will put together a soft proofing gallery for you to hand select your images. This gallery will be lightly touched up but not have the finally edit. Once you select the digital photos, you will also be able to select the images for your 5x7 Fine Art Prints and any Canvas images you would like printed. You will also be able to purchase additional Digital, Fine Art and Canvas images once you view your proofing gallery.
My digital gallery turn around time is typically 2-3 weeks and I will keep in touch to inform you on the progress of your gallery. Once your digital gallery is ready, I will send you a link where you can access and download your images and share with friends and family. After I order and receive your Fine Art products I will carefully proofed and inspected them to ensure they are up to my standard, we will schedule a reveal date for you to come collect your final Fine Art images, photo box and a high quality USB with all of your purchased images.
Once you see your Fine Art prints and Canvas you will have one finally opportunity to purchase any more prints or canvas.
My home studio
I photograph all newborn sessions in the comfort of my own home for two reasons, one because I can ensure a clean and cozy environment with any of your needs met first and foremost, and two because I want you to feel at home. I know that those first few weeks adjusting to a new routine can be difficult let alone a postpartum body to care for. I want you to feel comfortable so put up your feet, take a deep breath and even nap if you’d like. I will take care of the rest.
My studio is fully stocked and baby ready. I provide babies with diapers, wipe, extra pacifies, burp cloths, a bottle warmer, a boppy and privacy for any nursing moms. These sessions are also catered with a cheese and meat try, fresh fruit and vegetables and some complementary beverages. I want you to feel like a vip at your session. This is a special time for you and I strive to make your session stress free.
